The 2023 Annual Meeting of the Guangdong Physical Society was held from December 1 to 3 in Huizhou, Guangdong Province. Professor Wang Biao, Director of the Interdisciplinary Science Research Center and President of the Guangdong Physical Society, served as Chair of the meeting. Professor Wang delivered remarks at both the opening and closing ceremonies and presented the Society's annual work report. The meeting brought together over 300 experts and scholars from physics-related research fields across Guangdong Province to exchange scientific research achievements and teaching experiences, attracting widespread attention from related fields and various sectors of society.

Academician Shi Shengcai, Academician Zhan Wenlong, and Academician Xia Jiawen from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, along with Professor Long Guilu from Tsinghua University, delivered invited reports on cutting-edge scientific topics such as superconductivity, nuclear research, large-scale scientific facilities, and quantum communication.

Several faculty members from the Interdisciplinary Science Research Center at DGUT attended the annual meeting and engaged in in-depth and lively academic exchanges with participants and speakers. Associate Researcher Liu Zhao presented a report titled "Hierarchical Multiscale Modeling of the Crystal Plasticity in Polycrystalline Copper," and Dr. Zhou Yong and colleagues received the conference poster award for their work titled "The Coupling X:R-Y Hydrogen Bond."
