On December 14, 2022, the year-end summary meeting of the Trade Union Group of the Interdisciplinary Science Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") was successfully held in the Center's conference room. The meeting was attended by DGUT President Ma Hongwei, Director of the Science and Technology Division Fan Hongbo, Director of the Development Planning Division Wang Xiaoji, Party Secretary of the School of Materials Science and Engineering Jun Guang, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Materials Science and Engineering Chen Liming, as well as over 50 trade union members from the Center. The meeting was chaired by Professor Hu Yangfan.

First, Professor Wang Biao delivered a speech at the meeting, summarizing the trade union activities of the Center in 2022 and outlining the work plans and arrangements for 2023. During the meeting, representatives including Vice Dean Li Runxia, Professor Sun Changqing, and Professor Wang Anding each presented their individual annual work reports.

Subsequently, President Ma Hongwei provided his comments on the meeting. President Ma spoke highly of the achievements made by the Center over the past year and expressed his expectation that all members of the Center would continue to uphold a strong research ethic in 2023, strengthen the cross-integration of different research directions, and strive for even greater progress in the year ahead.

Finally, during the interactive session, new members who joined the Center in 2022 introduced themselves. Teachers Liu Zhao, Huo Da, and Fang Hengxin gave guitar and vocal performances, a solo vocal performance, and a stand-up comedy act, respectively, creating a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. Attendees engaged in free discussions, further enhancing mutual understanding.

As the saying goes, "Without washing off the dust from a long journey, we spur our horses onward to new achievements." The successful convening of this year-end summary meeting of the Center's Trade Union Group laid a solid foundation for the work ahead. The attendees expressed their firm commitment to keeping the Center's mission in mind, uniting their efforts, forging ahead with determination, and writing a new chapter for the Center in 2023.
